Similarly, now that the game has been out for a few days, Mods are beginning to appear, and a few of them look like big QoL improvements.

I've been afraid to do so in New Vegas however, for fear that, as reported, it will disable achievements on my save file. In FO3, I used the console 'SAVE' command to create named save files without any menu navigation, and it was awesome. However, manually saving is, to say the least, extremely cumbersome.

The widely reported Quicksave/Autosave bug is annoying and, quite frankly, has terrified me into completely abandoning both features.

So far I have used console commands to check affinity, and I still get achievements.I've heard mixed information on this and I'd like to get a straight answer, for two reasons:

Get 100% in a clean run, then play with mods. I personally would not trust the the other mod, as it needs to be installed separately from the mod store and can be prone to malware (in order to bypass the 'mods disable achievements' requirements from Bethesda). If you used the patch mod, your achievements would definitely be disabled. They asked if achievements would be disabled, not mods. This is the opposite of what the OP asked. Then after you play for a while figure out what else you want to mod and go crazy modding and starting over so you never see even half the story even after 500 hours of gameplay like me. If you are having issues i would recommend you get the unofficial patch "mod" and also the mod that reenables achievements when using mods.
